Tanya Chitnis, Treasurer
Tanya Chitnis works in Accounting and Finance, but has always hoped to move into the non-profit sector, specifically wishing to find ways to instill a greater sense of confidence in young women. Having dealt with body image issues and the resulting desires to diet, etc., she is happy to be working with an organization that teaches people about body acceptance and intuitive eating and who helps them work through the issues behind their disordered eating. She is thankful too to be able to support Beyond Hunger's Peer Education program and it's efforts of prevention.
Andrea DeLeo
Andrea has over 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, most recently in healthcare. She works at St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation, where she cultivates and stewards donors for various causes within the hospital. Andrea comes to Beyond Hunger with a journalism degree, which she decided to use in the nonprofit sector through various communication and development positions. Having dealt with body image issues since a young age and having overcome eating disorders in college/post-college, she is thrilled to be giving back and helping an organization that is so close to her heart. One of Andrea's dreams is to help people suffering from eating disorders see that they are beautiful inside and out and that there are plenty of resources to help them overcome their disorder.
